Parents
Attention families: The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), a Federal law, requires that a school with certain exceptions obtain your written consent prior to the disclosure of personally identifiable information from your child’s education records. However, a school may disclose appropriately designated “directory information” without written consent, unless you have advised the school to the contrary in accordance with school district procedures.
Parents who wish to opt their students out of directory information releases must complete an Opt-Out Form for each of their students, and must return each form to the school at which each student is enrolled by December 13, 2024.

Extracurricular Activities
D.N. Fell offers a wide variety of extracurricular activities ranging from Dance to Golf to Arts and Crafts. A full listing will be made available each fall of the school year.
Eighth Grade Yearbook Committee
This is open to any eighth student. The members attend weekly meetings that discuss fund raising, dress down days, trips and other functions. In the spring the focus shifts to creating the yearbook. The members organize and arrange pictures by themes and each works on developing a certain page.
Student Government
There are four eighth grade officers of the Fell student government (President, Vice-President, Secretary and Treasurer). Their classmates elect these students after giving speeches on why they would be effective in their positions. The officers’ duties include attending meetings, organizing activities, taking yearbook pictures, making announcements, voicing student concerns and assisting with school functions.
Annual Class Trips
Each year students in Grade 4 visit Washington D.C. and students in Grade 8 visit New York City.
PIAA Sports
At Fell we offer several PIAA sports throughout the year including Flag Football, Boys and Girls Soccer, Volleyball, Girls Softball, Boys Baseball, Girls & Boys Basketball, Golf and a Co-Ed Track Team.
We also have a Fell Cheerleading Team for grades 6-8.
In addition to the PIAA Sports every year we take a group of Fell student-athletes to the Penn Relays and partake in the Penn Relays School Days Field Trip.
Home and School Association
D. Newlin Fell has an active Home and School Association which provides an important connection between the instructional objectives of the school and the parents within the community.
